The 2016 Lambing season has started for us, we have been lucky enough this year to complete phase one of our lambing in 10 days, as part of our Hybrid Vigor Programme (improved immune systems) new cross bred lambs are with us, 71 lambs born so far.
Our aim is to reduce animal use by using purpose bred Healthy animals with superior immune systems, breeding between more genetically distant individuals should allow a greater range of T cell activation (decreased chance oheriting two alleles which are similar) and therefore an improved response.
